I'm a freelance creative consultant.
My background is in advertising. Having completed a course in Documentary Direction at The Metropolitan Film School I began my career as an in-house runner at renowned London production company Rattling Stick. After only six months as a runner I production managed my first job; a series of 4 online films for Nokia. In the next 4 years at Rattling Stick I went on to production manage a range of commercials for some of London's best directors. Working with budgets large and small I proved myself to be a versatile member of the production team not only managing the productions but working on treatments and mood films as well as being given the opportunity to shoot some 2nd unit footage on certain projects. Whilst at Rattling Stick I also completed the APA Masterclass with a grade of 'Outstanding'.
My directing debut came in the form of an online film for 'Worn By' a label dedicated to recreating garments once worn by icons of the past, using original iconic images.
My film for Learning Through Landscapes received the runner-up prize at the inaugural AdCan Awards 2014.
A personal highlight of my time at Rattling Stick was production managing the anti-rape campaign video 'Where Is Your Line?' for The Havens, specialist centres in London which help the victims of rape and sexual assault. The film went on to win the 'Achievement in Production' award at 2011 BTA Craft Awards as well as 'Best Direction', 'Best Actress' and 'Best Editing' at the same awards.
Now freelance for over a decade, I have worked with many top production companies and pitched to markets all over the globe. I've shot in Japan, The Phillipines, Spain, Hungary, The Netherlands, Bulgaria, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Romania, the US and of course the UK.
A highlight in recent years was taking the role of Creative Producer at Carnage for both seasons of the branded content show "The Great Travel Hack" for Amazon Prime and YouTube. This project perfectly combined my background of creative and production expertise as well as my love of travel.
I now primarily work in creative development as a visual researcher, writer and treatment designer as well as carrying out location and casting research and working on stock image/video sourcing and clearance. I have continued to develop an unusual cross-section of skills which give me great versatility across the industry.
Examples of visual research, writing, treatment layouts and latest C.V. are available upon request.
