Whilst a Producer's role in advertising is quite clearly defined, the role of Creative Producer is harder to define - it really depends on the project at hand but it can essentially cover any creative decision making, development and scripting alongside the more traditional organisational and financial functions of a commercial Producer. My background is equally in the production and creative sides of the business and this unique intersection of skillsets makes for an understanding of the big picture and what is needed to get there both creatively and in practical and financial terms.
